Repository description.

Collection is very strong in photographs of its specialized gardens and contains series of lantern slides of economic botany and of plants photographed systematically. Records portray growth and development of the Garden throughout its history through scrapbooks, architectural plans of the buildings, and maps of the grounds. There are large gaps in the material, especially in the correspondence. Bulk of the material is from 1910-1985; some 18th and 19th century material exists in the form of autographs and published portraits.
